Weather Cancellation Policy


Brookfield Parks and Recreation programs and events may be impacted due to weather.

The following policies will be followed to help guide decisions:

• If Brookfield Public Schools are closed because of weather, all programs are cancelled for that day.

• If Brookfield Public Schools have a delayed opening, all programs which begin before 12:00pm are cancelled. All programs starting at 12:00pm or later will meet as scheduled.

• If Brookfield Schools have a weather-related early dismissal, all afternoon and evening programs are cancelled.

When weather events occur at night, on weekends, or on days when school is not in session, cancellation decisions will be made by the Parks and Recreation Office. Program participants will be notified of cancellations via email.
