Scratch Game Studio
Grades 3–5 | 7 Weeks
Turn imagination into interactive games! In this hands-on coding program, students will use Scratch to create animations, stories, mazes, and fun video games while learning the foundations of computer programming.
Each week introduces new coding concepts such as events, loops, variables, scoring, movement, and game logic through engaging projects. Students will build their game progressively throughout the program, adding new features and skills each week. They will also learn how to test their programs, fix mistakes, and improve their games just like real programmers.
The program will conclude with a special Parent Showcase, where students can demonstrate the Scratch games they have created and share what they learned with their families.
No prior coding experience is required.
Young Entrepreneurs
Grades 6–8 | 7 Weeks
Have a great idea? Turn it into a business! In Young Entrepreneurs, students will experience the exciting journey of taking an idea from concept to a final
Shark Tank-style pitch.
Students will identify a problem, create a product or service, develop a business name and logo, explore pricing and profit, and design simple marketing materials. They will also learn how successful businesses understand their customers and communicate what makes their idea unique.
Throughout the program, students will build practical skills in creativity, leadership, financial awareness, teamwork, problem-solving, and public speaking.
The program will conclude with a Parent Showcase featuring a fun Shark Tank-style presentation, where students will pitch their business ideas and share their entrepreneurial journey with their families.
No previous business experience is required, just creativity and an idea!
Build Your Own AI!
Grades 6–8 | 7 Weeks
What if you could teach a computer to recognize objects, sounds, and even body movements?
In this hands-on introduction to Artificial Intelligence, students will use
Google Teachable Machine to build and train their own machine-learning models. They will experiment with image recognition, sound recognition, and pose recognition while discovering how computers learn from examples.
Students will explore important AI concepts such as training data, predictions, accuracy, testing, and bias. They will investigate why AI sometimes makes mistakes and how changing or improving training data can make a model perform better.
Rather than simply using AI tools, students will get a behind-the-scenes look at how machine learning actually works.
The program will conclude with a Parent Showcase, where students will demonstrate their AI projects and explain how they trained, tested, and improved their machine-learning models.
No prior coding or AI experience is required.
Students should bring a laptop or Chromebook with a camera and microphone.
