Little Inventors (Grades: K-2) After School Program @ Candlewood Lake Elementary School
In this "Inventive" program, students design and create solutions to problems, teaming up to identify the need for a new invention, and producing real structures and solutions - such as building bridges and experimenting with how much weight they can hold. Students will also learn about famous inventors, and discuss how inventions improve our lives.
Chain Reactions (Grades: 3-5) After School Program @ Candlewood Lake Elementary School
Let's learn about Rube Goldberg machines! In this hands-on program, students build a variety of complex contraptions to complete a simple task - such as ringing a bell - while learning the basic physics concepts of work, gravity, force and momentum. Using simple machines like levels, wedges, wheels, pulleys, and inclined planes, students learn to understand mechanical concepts in a fun way, while using their imagination!
Business of Entertainment (Grades 6-8) After School Program @ Whisconier Middle School
Learn about the entertainment world by exploring the platforms of today and tomorrow, and examining cutting edge producers, such as Meta and Spotify. Students learn about marketing, intellectual property, royalties, distribution and more - all while researching careers in the entertainment industry and building a business background!
