Whether you are an artist, or someone who is just starting out, this class will help you develop your own creative style while feeding off the creative talents of others. You will learn how to see colors in nature you have never seen before through the color wheel. Victoria will instill the importance of good drawing techniques, as the bones of your painting. Values, learning first to see them in black and white, then in color. Intensity, learning to express specific moods with the brightness and dullness of color.
You will be given group and individual demonstrations.
By the third class, you will have a painting to work on at your own speed while applying the knowledge you have learned. Each participant will work from a photo that inspires them or a still life you want to bring to class.
All participants will walk away with a strong understanding of watercolor painting.
